The families of young people lost after a devastating fire at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are enduring an painful wait for confirmed information and pleading for any details about their children online.

The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified video reveal the ceiling catching alight as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have stated that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the those who perished of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another 119. Her sibling has shared an urgent request on social media, saying the family has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.
